Ok, so here's the story. I recently bought a Milltek Twin Jet Cat-Back system for my Golf 20vT along with 4 Motion valances for the front and rear (bought from main dealer), the parts in total cost me £445 (£338 for Milltek and £107 for valances). So, I booked the car in at AVW (VW Specialists) to get the exhaust and valances fitted. Turns out they've had great difficulty fitting the valances and they don't even line up properly, also the towing eye at the back doesn't fit in the cut out on the rear valance, does the towing eye need to be taken off? Also, I'm not happy how the Milltek fits either, is it a bad fitting exhaust? It looks like it's on the piss and when braking the exhaust hits against the body causing a shudder type noise. When it came to paying they told me it took 8 hours to fit the exhaust and valances but they'd only charge me for 5, so the total was £284.29 (which I thought was a bit steep). The exhaust is only a cat-back, so should this of taken 8 hours to complete? Are they having me on? Has anyone else had any difficulty fitting the 4 Motion valances to their Golfs? Pics..

Front valance doesn't line up..

Exhaust doesn't look too bad in this one but once you go over a bump it goes out of place.

mine was a thingy too i hd to wedge in plastic into the clip to stop them from popping out and linign up, in terms fo fitting the exchaust am sure u need to angle grind a tab off the rear fo the car in order for it to fit, the towing hook doesnt line up either u can either blank it off or just push your valence under it.

otherwise mate am sorry to say but u got well and truely scammed for payign 284 quid  for fitting coz most places if u buy the exhuas they fit it free, well they do at r tech. i

I had to put a jubilee clip on the hanger behind the rear box to stop it moving around on my Blueflame

I'm having trouble fitting the valance as well it lines up but can't get the last tab each side into place am thinking of removing bumper and fitting the valance separately.. My exhaust is also knocking the chassis at the tip.. Hmm I fitted my self so looks like I still saved £280..

my mate charged me a ton to do mine which I thought was good. tech you're best off taking the bumper off and doing the valance, try and do it somewhere warm too
