Best tyres for Mk5 Golf Gti?

What do you think are the best tyres for my Mk5 Golf Gti?  Ive got Continentel Sport Contact 3's on it at the mo, are these the tyres that came on it as standard?  Any opinions would be gratefully received.  Thanks

Good choice of tyres you currently have, mine had Bridgestones on it when I got it but I found these terrible for grip and also very noisy.  I now have Conti Sport Contact3's as well all round and they have been great the wear on them has been good and the grip levels and performance in the wet are lots better than the Bridgestones.

Good year Assymetric GY F1  had 2 sets now and very good tyre
or some guys like the Michelin PS range
or if you are on a bit of a budget the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas.

michelin ps2 or 3 all the way followed by pirellis ,  goodyear f1 ,s seem to be a tyre u either like them or hate them , i detest them and will never put a set on a car ever again , continentals are an ok tyre but michelins in my opinion are better , i drove on them all including bridgestones

Thanks for responses guys.  To be fair I am on a bit of a budget.  Continentel Sport Contact 3's seem to be around the £120 mark each.  I could prob stretch to that at a push.  Should I stick with these or are there any better tyres which cost a bit less?  Unlikely I know, but thought it was worth asking!

As I said I found the Conti Sport Contact 3's better than the bridgestones but I haven't tried anything else.  I am more than happy with these tyres at the moment and the price is ok as well .  Are your wheels 17" or 18"?

I just bought some Ps3's great tyre's , miles better than GYf1's last longer, better rim protection.

There are loads of threads on tyres. TBH, it's a personal choice depending on how you drive and road conditions etc. Also, not many people have tried loads of different tyres so they can only comment on the ones they have and as we all know each persons view is never the same as anothers.

On my ebay rims I had a pair of half worn Hankook ventus v12 evo's.  These were a nicer tyre to drive with on the front axle than my F1's and just as good as the oem Bridgestones (in Summer of course, they are all useless in Winter).  I suspect the Hankooks were quite cheap.  My next front axle summer tyres are a pair of Avons (one unworn one came with the ebay wheels), will report on these after Easter.
