Thanks for responses guys. To be fair I am on a bit of a budget. Continentel Sport Contact 3's seem to be around the £120 mark each. I could prob stretch to that at a push. Should I stick with these or are there any better tyres which cost a bit less? Unlikely I know, but thought it was worth asking!

I tried to boot it in 2nd gear at about 35mph the other day to overtake someone, and it just triggered the ESP and didnt go anywhere! It wasnt raining, the ground was damp, it wasnt even that cold (about 7.5degC) and it just understeers round any corner... Its really bad - as soon as winter is over i'll be getting some real tyres!
