Are the rubber parts still on the top and underside of the strut? and have they perished?

Before I put coilovers on the Jetta the one side bottomed out qute easy because the rubber was knackered.

Now got an 80mm drop and no issues at all.

What tyres/offset are you running? As above, check the condition of the top mounts too.

Top mounts were new about 3 months ago, offset?  standard?  I dunno :p

Ive got ATS cups on 195/50/15s

Think something must be a bit knackered as I have cups on the same profile tyres and my rears don't scrub

so it turns out its because my ATS Cups are deep dish so the wheels are much wider and wont sit under the arch like standard BBS or whatever, and I bet everyone knew that thats what Deep dish meant except me right?, so on go some coilovers :D
