Total cock up with my tyres, I am sure I ordered tyres for the 17" shadows which I'd been promised by a mate for £50, what I've got are 225/40/18V Continentals so I can't get the shadow alloys and will have to put these new ones on my monzas and hope for the best as I cannot be doing with sending them back and re-ordering, winter will be long gone before I get the damn things on the car.

I guess I will see come Monday how good they are on the snow and ice.
Gizzy
18" winters will be a massive improvement - tell me if I'm wrong.
Less hassle too, just change the tyres twice a year and still use your Monzas.

Amanda, you have the very best Winter tyres for your Monza Shadows.

As GolfTi says, much less trouble swapping tyres over.

I am still in two minds. We don't suffer from your terrible conditions. (North Yorkshire is the worst hit, I hear).

Now that all the roads I use are very well salted/gritted, I find the journeys quite easy. In fact, there are hardly any cars on the road and my journey to work which normally takes 40 mins, was accomplished, each way, in less than 20 mins!

If I do buy, they will be Conti 830P 225/40 R18 V tyres. Like yours.

I just have to source them. They seem to be as rare as hen's teeth.

Mytyres, aalthough I had to wait a long time for them.  Everyone it seems wants winter rubber.  Thanks for your words of wisdom by the way.

£200 from Kwikfit last week, fully fitted.
But that was last week.
I'll check the price tomorrow. Bet they are more than £200.

Mytyres - what a bunch of timewasters. Got my Golf tyres through them and all was well, but I've been waiting a week for a delivery date on my wifes Yaris. I ordered steels/tyres and got an email tonight cancelling my order. Reason is the item is out of stock. Real reason is that they sold them to me for £80 per wheel and now because of demand they know they can get a lot more for them. I've written back saying they had a contract with me they should fulfill under the Sale of Goods Act, but in reality I don't know where I stand. Bunch of barstewards!

The terms and conditions usually have in them that the contract is binding once payment has been made.
Most companies changed their procedures due to mis-pricing of goods in the past on internet sites, when some lucky punters were getting LCD tv's and the like for pennies because the decimal point was in the wrong place.

So it probably depends if they actually took payment or not?

Sourced Conti 830Ps, 225/40 R18 V rated, for £151 per corner, fitted.
They will also store summer tyres or wheels + tyres.
