The one I sold to Dom, here it is in the making for those of you interested in making one.
Made out of MDF, think it was 3 sheets of bendy plywood glued together in a former to make the curve.
NOTE:
I MAJORLY messed that project up when I thought I finished it. As you can see I made it rectangular, only to forget the boot is NOT rectangular. Anyway, after ripping off the cloth, reshaping and retrimming with new cloth, it fitted fine!
Velcro on the underside to stop it from sliding away round corners, and 2 aluminium tabs on the top to help secure it against the parcel shelf side support.

Is the sub in a box?
Looks like it's just attached to a sheet of mdf!

Not in a box, some subs are made to work without backpressure.

Agreed....my JBL is just attached to the front of a sub box with the sides etc took off to fit where this install is sitting. Don't forget that the parcel shelf support and the boot trim kind of make a box themselves. Mine sounds good and is better than the two subs I have in a box in there.

A su without a box is known as IB or infinite baffle. Not every sub will work like this.
If a sub is designed to be in a box there should be no air leaks at all (unless ported in which case the air will 'leak', well flow in and out actually) of the box. If a box isn't sealed it isn't built properly, no exceptions.
Is that sub designed to be run IB?

What are those bits of metal attached to? The 2 bits showing at the top.
Shame you buggered up your parcel shelf, I have an mdf one you could have had!
