thanks very much for the offer and with all the new parts a bargin just time to come and fetch it also really need it asap. got one comming from a local breakers yard as aim to change it this weekend

hi ive got a m reg mk3 2.0 8v cabby,when i got it i noticed that the passenger rear wheel looked bent in a bit,checked everything no damage,nothing wirth any marks etc,so removed rear axle put it next to the new rear axle,and it was bent,but nothing had been hit,and ive known the car for over 8 years,my m8 has never hit owt..wierd..lol but ive now upgraded to 5 stud convertion alround..

LOL i was working for domino's pizza once and i didnt turn sharpy enough and my n/s rear whell had a tiff with a corner of a house... house won! bent the axle good, made it home tho, when i replaced it (for a bog standard drum type) i took the time to weld in some 3mm angle to reinforce it  :grin:.... wont bend anymore... lol  :evil:

just wish i has found discs for the rear, do the disc axles come in 4 stud 100pcd?

need either a 3.5 cabriolet rear axle and think the 2 litre mk3 avantgardes had rear disks too.

@sub. wonder if it only effects cabriolets then as they are heavier

Not much heavier than a hatch to be honest.
