yes you are right ,i should have given it a much tougher check and taken a mate along to hold me back  :embarassed: the recent mot pointed to a good car but the price should have given it away 
next time will be different; but i probably won't get rid of it as it will be a well sorted car when its all finished 
we all learn the hard way !!!!!!

i realize its a private sale ( buyer beware ) but can anything be done about the mot station that passed this obvious fail ??

hi yes i looked at the link, thanks thats very useful  will be having it looked at on monday  and will contact the guy who passed it too.

talked to the garage that passed my car, manager was cacking himself when i told him of the problems  after an inspection said all will be repaired at their expense 
but will still have it checked over after to make sure its all safe and secure  result
