Sorry to hear that. Looking on the plus side, there is lots of stuff that needs to be fixed.  At least from now on you'll know the true condition of the car all the new stuff on it.

thanks for being positive  :smiley
and as is good and original inside no huge speaker holes and with standard teardrop alloys i guess it will be worth the extra time and money i need to spend .
will post some pictures when it comes back from the welders , after a good polish of course.

Yes. Been there. Done that. Got his ticket removed. Phone the Ministry Of Transport (MOT) and report your findings. They will want to inspect the car at a garage local to you with the person who certified the MOT present.

I bought a beamer and the horn did not even work, the exhaust manifold was blowing and the emissions were sky high. The MOT inspectorate then proceeded to rip the car to shreds as they found the sills were rotted out and unsafe.
Obviously the dealer had something going with the garage that did the MOT. Needless to say, I shifted that car on pronto by way of an auction. Lost a lot of money.

Without wanting to sound an arse, but do you lot actually check cars before they buy them???  When I spend my hard earned on a car, it gets a thorough going over. I always take a clued up pal too so he finds the stuff I don't.

I'd be poking the floor pan while I was looking before I buy, not after I had handed over money and got the vehicle home!!

Yes. But this was 13 years ago when I had less of a clue than I do now.. And if a car has a 12 month ticket on it, you assume that it needs no welding.
