When my blowers are on...
« on: 10 November 2010, 20:43 »
It somtimes sounds like dialup interntet modem connecting, if i turn the blowers to three it powers out of this weird squeeking and after 10 min it stops all together, but bumps can make it start up again.

Any idea folks?

Take the blower out and put a bit of WD40 on the bearing as sometimes it dries up and make's dodgy noises
not sure if you can do it without taking it out though but its worth a try.

Its under the glove box and you need to unscrew the grey foam its right in the place where that grey foam sticks out! Undo the battery before you muck about. Turn the bottom dome anti clock wise to free it from the fan housing it should come out with a wiggle you know you have the right part becuase of the white fan on top of it. Its a sealed unit and not sure how effective you are going to get WD40 into it.
I've always just bough a second hand one for like a £15. If the bearings are going nothing you can do about it really its a sealed unit?

GSF under 40 quid....by the time you've bought a few second hand ones and realised they're also shagged, you may as well have bought a brand new one.
