I don't think a semi will give the same results

Yeah that's why I said it was a shame they had to go... If he did some of his refurb skillz on them he could have coloured the center parts maybe the same as the audi wheels and just left the dishes chrome.   Mind you if he did that i'd probably want them off him then!

lol. Cheers chaps, if I kept them they would have been done in black Crome (M3/M5 wheel colour) with the lip in silver. Total Awesomness!

Had a few hours spare late afternoon before I cleaned up so completed the set. Will post results tomorrow when on the car. I was pleased with the results.

Today I managed to get the wheels on (due to not having paint in stock to sort out a Seat Leon Cupra)

So here we are, and I must say I do like this look. Maybe a wrapped black roof? Anyway, what do you think?

Whilst putting these on the car I was thinking what to do engine wise. And I think a big bore and leary cam is the way to go. I want to keep it '8v ish' but want more grunt from it. Any suggestions, obviously costs need to be low for minor changes but once the money is good again who knows where this could go? :smug:

Wheels look tidy.   when tyres need replacing, get some 45s on it and slam it  :lipsrsealed:

it's amazing what you can get out of an 8v.... My head is almost as old as the car but was still pushing nearly 140BHP with Bigger valves, high lift cam etc...  when i think it's setup OK again I will be curious as to what its still got left in although the tappets are sounding a little tired now.  typical mk1.
