Rich, the Beetle looks mint and if that floats you boat then fine.

However like most on this forum have already said, I'd not go from a Golf to A beetle looking to have it a regular car used everyday and still expecting great reliability.

Sure it could well be ultra reliable but if you have any distance to drive on a regular basis I personally don't think the beetle is the right car to do it in.

PLus from what i remeber the aircooled vws had sh!t heaters which will be no fun when its freezing again come winter, ans that paint is never gonna gonna stay clean

decision made....

found a very good vw specialist in the NW not far from me thats to lewizkid  (you beaut...) seem to know exactly what wrong with all the little faults:

- the oil warning light coming on at idle is the bearings
-going to raise it slightly to stop scrubbing over speed bumps
- fix the horn and get air horn put on
-could be the central locking draining the battery. going to diagnose and new cat 1 alarm to be installed proffessionally is onyl 180 notes- compared with 350 i got quoted by the clifford buggers.

Going to cost me a few hundred quid which is alot. But after that she should be sweet as a nut, and a few bits of bodywork done for the shows in the summer.

Plus im not sure the beetle is me...

what alarm is that?? thats well cheap!!! make sure you get the certificate for insurance tho
