Right, im seriously considering stripping the car of all the good bits and sending whats left to be scrapped.

so how much does everybody think that a really clean, full 5 door interior from a GL would be worth?
Bumpers?
Wings?
Wiper Motor?
etc etc?

Being a non GTI means you will not see much in stripping it.

If the paintwork is clean and tidy you should do ok stripping it.

majority of bodywork is tidy, only scrapping it because i cant afford to get it through its MOT next month.

needs both sills welded, a brake line replacing, both the front shock absorbers replaced, the tracking's out, needs 2 new tyres, and the offside front wheel bearing has gone.

Tyres arent an issue, i could get them, but the garage are saying the weldings gonna be around £300, and the bearings going to be near £90 to replace. Add to that the 50 quid for new shock absorbers and 60 quid for tyres and the price to get the car through next MOT is going to be close to £400 at least.

That is a fair amout of work to do - but on the other hand once it is done you wont have to do any of it again for a while (except tyres)

I would try and raise the money to keep it mate - looks like a nice car!
