it is a nice car, interior is clean enough to eat your dinner straight from it! I'm going to try and sell it, and if i havent sold it by the time the MOT expires, then I'll have to store it off the road for a few months while I raise the cash to get the work done :(

Gutted because the engine and gearbox are both lovely, its hell-as nippy!

Way, way, way OTT!

New sills cost £48 quid, labour should be no more than £150

iv just remembered my cousin does a bit of welding, so im gonna go and see him later and see how much he'll do it for. the rest of the stuff that needs doing im not bothered about, i can do that myself...well, except the wheel bearing, the garage will have to do that (£80  )

Re: Wheel bearing...

Take off the hub and go to the garage with a new bearing (£20) and ask someone to press out the old bearing and press in a new one.

Tell him you don't want a receipt and it'll be a tenner.

Not really, you need a press.

I did mine without a press, but was a bit lucky as I had a socket that was exactly the right fit so I carefully smashed it with a hammer :P Though wayne is right you should really use a press to avoid possibly damaging it.

sayign that though for £80 you could have quite a few goes :)
