Rare or not so rare colour?
« on: 27 January 2005, 16:45 »
Anyone know how uncommon royal blue is?
I see plenty of Helios blue cars - even had one myself a while back. Now I run a royal blue 8V 4 dr and I don't think I've ever seen another round here.

According Halfords, my paint code is royal blue also, but it looks more like dark navy?

See my link below, is it the same colour as yours?

Difficult to tell by the photo, but it does look the same. The paint code is LA5U on the rear panel sticker in the boot. It is quite a lot darker than Helios.

Where you from? I've got a H plate 4 dr 8v in Royal Metallic Blue.
Looks Purple sometimes then Black then Dark Green and sometimes Blue......Bloody odd colour!

I like it, though it doesn't stand out as much as the oak green. Don't think it's that rare?

krankenshafter - Yep that's the same paint code as mine! have you a pic I could see?

Piggy - , yeah it's metalic and does look odd in different light! especially when she's dirty!

I must say that although Halfrauds are Halfrauds, the touch up paint i had made up is spot on, don't know if you have seen it being made up, but it's like GCSE Chemistry all over again (without the bunson burners that is) :)

I've got a Royal Blue 8v, 3 door, 1990 spec. The paint still looks glorious when clean!
