I thought Royal Blue was darker than that Blue Mk2.

I went to view a 16v 3dr in Royal Blue and it certainly seemed darker.

Sorry Blue but yours isn't Royal Blue. It is alot darker than that.

It can even look black ish at some time, which your car certainly isn't

Still not convinced it's a rare colour, but having said that I'm not sure I've seen too many :undecided:

Piggy - I'm in W,Sussex. Good link - made me laugh, do you think he doesn't like green? I have a load of old MOT certs and the tester has the car down as a different colour every time, black green grey blue etc. I always thought they were colour blind. The pics on the site link are spot on for colour. Deefadog - will post a pic sometime, though mine is not that shiny, daily running and living by the railway for years have taken their toll. Have moved now so when I get a new garage, I may get the whole car resprayed. Picked up a tailgate a while back and a mate painted it for me. Shows what the car should look like!

Piggy - it's a clear over base so a cutting compound suitable for lacquer is fine. i let a valeter at mine with a buffer and it came up pretty good after it was washed over twice with an acid solution to try and remove all the cack. Disadvantage with a buffer is that any repairs if not properly done can craze with the heat.

A man after my own heart.

Can't be too bothered about doing the car myself either.

Is G3 compound a bit rough as T cut seems to take ages, or am I just lazy

When, or if, it ever gets a bit warmer and dryer I'll get around to having a look and see what I can do.
Once I do that I might get around to taking some pics and posting them
