If i remember correctly the A series short block engines are all the same anyway
1.0L, 1.4L, 1.6L They have different porting in the heads (i guess) and im not 100% sure but im pretty sure its just the stroke thats different between the 1.4 and 1.6, be honest i cant remember.... swapping pistons and head can/may be as simple as that
But the point is... for the sake of swapping a loom you would be mad to think a re-bore is easier! Engine swap = big improvements, lots of self satisfaction, and its much easier ... really it is, doesn't seem it but it is!
