good cleaning.

no video hey. is that because it doesnt actually run!

as for rachel's seat, it is based on the 6n polo. had a look at my mate's polo and they do look the same. her dampers are on the way out so it'll get suspension before my golf unfortunately.

Ok need your help guys, i have looked long and hard to find the part i need and i cant find one, well i can find one but just not one that matches what i have. Can anyone shed any light on where i could find one, Think it is a thermstat house i need but i have put a pic below:

I have found loads of vr6, g60 and mk2 ones but none really look like this one, the rad i have is a vr6 one. The closest one that looked the same came from a 1.9tdi engine but couldnt be 100%, anyway any help would be good or even if someone has a spare one and is willing to sell it to me let me know

Well i have just had a look clipperjay and the top bolts undo ok and start to come out so dont just spin. I have taken some more pics of it from the other side if this will help at all?

Its that back bolt that you can see in the second pic that is throwing me off as the ones i have found to replace it are all flat and the bolts sit level with each other so bit confused as to what this one is

has someone put it together without a gasket? or is the plastic cracked?

might be worth taking it off, cleaning everything and using some instant gasket stuff in the interim

Ok the issues with G60 Rads or VR6 variants are that the plastic housing has to be on top to make room for the FMIC pipes.
The design is simple the plastic flange is bolted down by two bolts, but the actual threaded housing is built into the RAD itself. A skool boy error is to have over (done this one too myself) is to over tighten the bolts which means the threaded metal sleeve breaks away from the fixed plastic Rad. so eventually the dam thing leaks as you cannot get a decent enough tightness on that flange becuase it spins!
The only way I managed to boogle one is to drill out the metal sleeve and put a new one in using liquid metal as a bond between the new thread and plastic Rad, failing that its proberly means a new RAD but we know how hard it is to get a decent one.

You find that air gets sucked in aswell causing air pockets and eventually over heating been there got that T shirt!
the only thing different between the two bolts is its length but I reckon some dell boy tried sticking a bigger bolt in becuase it was spinning

That flange looks like a Rallye water one same as mine one bolt longer than the other?
What part number is on it?
