Going to look at an E reg tonight and I'm not sure how to tell the difference. I had a digi about 5 years ago, but for the life of me can't remember what it looked like under the bonnet. Too many nights on the source since then.

k-jet will have fuel lines coming out of the airflow meter which sits on top of the airbox. digi wont

also i think all digi's have 1-piece side window glass whereas k-jets have the small quarter lights

I assume that it is possible for the K Jet to have the 1 peice side windows though.  :wink:

My E-Reg Digi has a 2 piece side window (aug 97)

very little differnt might hear people mention digi lag as it takes like an extra 1/2 second to make its mind up about accelarating and K-jet's have a smoother pickup think this is all down to the ecu not sure what a K-jet has but the digi has one behind the plastic cover under the windscreen drivers side this controls fuel and air mixture etc i might be wrong but i think k-jets dont rely on an ecu for this which is where this lag comes from.

all in all the differnce is really the look and way the engine is managed and little else there both just as fast, i think gambit said it best air box has fuel lines coming from the top of it and digi have an oblong box with tube going into the side of it and little much else mine actually says Digi on the log book but the engine numbers should start with PB or PF i think

and you can't put a cone air filter on a k-jet either.

I was under the impression that all k-jets had the mirrors halfway down the door unless the doors have been changed like mine. and the wipers went the 'wrong' way on the k-jets.

Well, mine has the fuel lines on the airbox and the mirrors where they should be. But maybe thats what you get for having an 1989 car.

yes you can. PiperX make an induction kit for k-jets which replaces the base of the airbox with an adapter plate with a big foam induction kit on it
