hi mate yes but it still had a drip so I have taken all the oil out again till I get a new plug tomorrow so its the train to work ' 6am

Always use a new sump plug when you change the oil. For the sake of about a quid with a new washer its not worth the hassle. Been there, done it so I know what its like pal! Hope you get it sorted ok.

well thats a great start needs a new sump the v5 only fits the v5 and its £240. from vag  the 1.8 turbo sump £60.
best bit the sump can only be got from vag im told
 -ucking great.

Can it not be helicoiled or tapped out and a bigger bolt used maybe.

you are a fool if you pay £240 for a new sump when you can just remove old one re-tap hole bigger get a new bolt and a copper washer problem solved for under a fiver...

just retap it mate, its easy enough to do, just dont over tighten it once its done  :lipsrsealed:
249 bypass, ths fr3 engine mounts, S/S decat, 2.5'' straight through exhaust, induction kit, forge split r, coilovers, 18'' alloys, much more in the pipeline

It's no hassle to do though. If you lived anywhere near me, I'd do it for you for a beer.
