agu boost issues
« on: 24 September 2010, 21:34 »
just reinstalled a new boost guage and i am still running the same boost as before.
r-tech remap on an agu, seems to peak at 16psi and drop to about 13-14 psi.
i have continuously checked for leaks but none to be found, i can turn the compressor pressure up to over 20psi and the air only escapes through the oil filler cap (when its removed). how do i go about checking the check valves on the servo pipe?..
this has been niggling at me for ages now as i am sure it should be holding at about 16psi.
please help as i want to make mince meat of my mates integra type R (i may just need a k03s for that but its close now)

Have you done a smoke test to check for leaks?

no, not sure how, have considered but the only way i can think of doing it is using the plumbers style smoke bombs and chucking one of them in the intake system and pressurising it.
is that how??

Shouldn't it peak at 21/22 and drop to 16/17  :undecided:

thats more like stage 2 k03s territory

i might expect a spike of 18 but k03 turbos are old and tired now, held boost seems about right.
