How often do you use the car? and what oil are you using?

I use the car everyday to work and back which isnt far as for the oil not sure the garage flushed the system through and then put new oil in so not sure what oil they used.

on the dipstick of there are beads of water on it, or in the coolant expansion tank if there is a mayonaise type residue, then the head has gone and needs replacing.

i havnt found any film in the expansion tank just in the oil filler area and the car drives fine i was told that it is a common problem as condensation builds up in the engine, the car is still under warranty so i think i will be taking it back again.

How do you work that out? that the very worst diagnosis.
The head gasket could just be blown, even if the head is warped, it can be skimmed.
More likely as the geezer said, he uses it for short journeys, so its probably just condensation.
Take it for a really good thrash down the motorway, see if it clears up.
