As prev stated the golf 4x100 has a centre bore of 57.1mm.
iirc the centre bore of vauxhall 4x100 is 56.6mm
So if you were fitting vauxhall wheels to a VW you would need to account for the differnce of 0.5mm centrebore by machining them.
Or use a large rubber hammer...
So, if my calculations are correct, you don't need spigot rings as they are for when the centre bore of the wheel is larger than the car you are fitting them to. Spigots help the wheel sit centrally and avoids undue stress on wheel bolts and potential wheel wobble/ fall off/ crash/ ditch/ flames/death etc. So as the wheel you are thinking of fitting has a narrower centrebore you don't need spigots

*Edit the spigot rings link posted from ebay were 57.1 to 71.6 spigots which you would need if you were putting, say, Touareg wheels on, but not much else.
