So the problems are mounting....

After a wheel bearing, broken exhaust bracket, new battery (which incidently did not stop it from not starting on Saturday morning) to having been serviced ths week I turn on the ignition this morning to be greeted the ESP light

Plugged in VCDS this afternoon and it looks like I have a faulty ABS unit (common fault). Repair kit is £230 the it needs fitting

Yeah thanks....!!!

Found out that Seat offer a FOC repair for the problem and Topher knows of a few MK5 owners who have had it fixed FOC

Time to get Audi to stump up seeing they are marketed as the more 'premium' brand of the group.....

Spoke toa Master Tech at my local VW who confirmed that they carry put the repairs FOC regardless of age and or mileage

So i get onto the phone to Audi who may consider some contribution depending on the nature of the fault and after me paying for the diagnostic

Its booked in for the 3rd February as thats the earliest date they can provide me with a courtesy car   I did ask if they thought it was safe for me to driving around with my ESP and ABS disabled in the current conditions but they clearly don't care so its two weeks until it goes in

If they aren't willing to stump up the bill I shall be asking how can two dealers under the same ownership (part of Mon Motors) don't offer the same level of service  and how the 'supposed premium' brand within the VAG group can't look after their customers as well as the 'supposed lesser' brands within the group

So into Audi it went and they correctly diagnosed it was the brake pressure sensor at fault

They want £383 to fix it.  Refused goodwill as the car is over 7 years old, not serviced within the network and not bought via a dealer.....

Raised a case with Audi UK so await their response

They also quoted me for new rear bumpstops @ £183 PER SIDE!!!  Parts are only £15 each so im struggling to see how the labour is so much??
