Now 60,000 miles covered during my ownership

Got the wheel bearing sorted so its now whisper quiet again.

Just need to figure out why somedays it takes 3/4 attempts to start  :undecided:

Sort of ruledput the battery so I'm thinking either starter motor or crank sensor.  Had a code a few months aago for these sensor but had nothing since

Have you checked the temp sensor?

Passat and the neighbours Mitsubushi Outlander with the 2.0 TDI lump both started struggling this winter and two temp sensors and both straight into life.

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.

Temp sensor seems to be reading fine  :undecided:

Monitored the battery voltage when starting it was being dragged down to approx 6volts so something isnt't right
