Lovely wing mirror caps. Subtle

How did you do that, is it a vinyl wrap with a spray of clear coat?

I picked up my iPad, opened the Ebay app, searched for carbon mirrors and then bought them

From what I can tell its simply a skin of carbon fibre over an original mirror base so it fits perfectly

Oh...Quite the anti climax!  Looks ace!

Yeah I could have come up with a cool story but I couldn't be arsed

Cheers :afro:  exterior is complete apart from a good detailing session

What about the front grill part which you have carbon wrapped? But tempted to get that do it looks like it has been laquered or some sort of clear coat  :lipsrsealed:

To give it a shiny finish??

That would involve removing the bumper to remove the grill....sadly the bumper is a PITA to remove compared to the MK4

Covered 40,000 miles in the Aldi now since owning it

34,000 miles have been with it remapped and it hasnt missed a beat

In that time its had
4 services
On its 3rd set of tyres
4 new injectors - thank you Audi for them
Set of rear brake pads
New lower engine mounts
Cambelt & water pump

And thats it in terms of maintenance

I have however done the following
Fitted OEM xenons
DPF delete
S3 foot pedals
Couple of wheel refurbs
Got a set of winter wheels
Full LED interior light pack
Retro-fitted footwell & puddle lights
OEM sat nav
Carbon wrapped the front grill, B Pillars and rear lower valance
Carbon skinned door mirrors
Pressed number plates
Cruise control
Lamin-x headlights and fog lights
Fitted window blinds

Not quite on the scale of the Golf thankfully

Still got my Forge hoses to fit and give it a good detailing session. Up next is most likely some new front pads / discs, and aircon regas

Maybe  :undecided: doubt it will be much if anything at all. The air intake itself is still very restrictive but I'm not paying £200+ for a fancy kit!!

Havent actually driven the car since I fitted it this afternoon

Cheers Jamie

Not sure I'm a style whore mind   fashion is not my strong point

Gave the car some stick yesterday and did some logs with the new filter. Everything seems spot on although I had one or two hiccups  :undecided:  seems to have smoothed out; got to love Siemens ECU's
