Hi for a week now my car has been making a progressively worsening clunking sound when accelerating and braking and sometimes in between. What I find is that it doesn't make this noise when the clutch is depressed regardless of speed.
A mate thought it was an engine mount at the rear (drivers side) So I ordered one. Got under there to fix it today (in the pissin rain) got absolutely soaked. Whilst i was arsing around i happened to notice that every nut in the inner CV was only finger tight.
When I started shaking it, it made a right rattle. I screwed all the nuts back in and tigtened them up. Problem is, it still rattles like hell. Question is....
is my inner CV f**ked (only 5 months old) or can it be fixed and was it this that was making the noise the whole time??
thx for help, as you can probably tell its really pissed me off for the last few days.
regards
Marco
