I swear by shock and spring kits, nice and cheap and i aint bothered about going too low, i like to keep it practical.

Hey, are you saying Dan's Wagon isn't practical? :D

His is perfectly practical!

As long as you don't have to go over a speed bump, or up or down a driveway, or up any kind of hill, or have anybody/anything in the back  :grin:

Coilovers all the way, springs won't go low enough. If you buy springs, you will only end up buying coilovers later.

so true mate, thought I'd only go for 40mm springs with my bora as I wasn't bothered about it bein as low as my previous cars just wanted it to handle well, but now I have ordered some coillies as can't be doin with the 4x4 ride height! :grin:

good choice with the kamei grille btw talisa!  :laugh:

nope, 1.4 and drives like a snail... tryna find a gti really, but dont wanna pay too much as wana do everythin myself, provin difficult to find a decent one for under a grand!! :/

I used to have a mk3 1.4. Although it was pretty slow I still loved it  :cool:

As for finding a decent Gti for under a grand, you should easily be able to do that, prices are rock bottom at the moment  :smiley:

also bought springs off Mr Duffy :) thankyou very much, waitin on em bein delivered...

and also gti interior seats & door cards off ebay, £30, gotta pick em up from Brummy on fri morning!

need to get new hub for the front cos old bolts f**ked one of em up :(
new wheel nuts bein picked up on fri...

new wheels are sprayed and ready (no photo yet) being put on beginnin of next wk :D

UPDATE!!!!!

BREAKING NEWS... needed some new centre caps for alloys as one is missing, so i rang kahn up, in bradford, and they confirmed that they are in fact REAL gen kahn alloys :D i feel so proud haha... geek!! and the centre caps ar a tenner a piece!!!... have just sent of for 4 new vw dub centre caps, 8quid for 4 haha...

couple more sprays of laquer and we nearly there :D (will take some better pics off camera when theyre finished)

not at the moment, but i will be when its been slammed... hopefully mid next wk!! :D



primered a few bits, here they are after painting, need one more spray and then laquering
