280mm front brakes (hoses too short)

As title. Did a search but cant find anything on flexy hoses.

Fitted 280mm brakes on the late 8v.

Everything fits (including the wheels without spacers) but the front flexy lines seem too short.

Its just on full lock they look like guitar strings.

Im guessing this is not normal?

I bought new ones when i fitted my G6's to my late 8v

there is a differant part number but i dont know why ??

No danny. Just put the lines straight onto the caliper.
The calipers are Girling 54 if that helps.

The right brake caliper flexy line has enough slack but when the left wheel is on full lock the flexy line is stretched out almost.

Im not comfortable with this as the flexy line could touch the spinning wheel too.

Any part numbers for the missing bit and can i get it and europarts?

on mine,i havea golf rallye setup  i have the same callipers but they have a section of hardline comeing off them and the brake flexi hose has two femail ends as opposed to the 256 setup where the flexi goes straight into the caliper.  if your hose goes straight int the caliper i would have thought it would fit witout the hardline standoff tho. can try and get you some pn's when sober if you want tho

on my mk2 ABF ive got hoses off a seat toledo which are plenty long enough. Its a wide track setup up on the front too. they also have a section of hard line comming off them

Do any vag cars come with banjo type front brake lines?  the seat ones may stick out too close to the inside of the wheel like they are now.

looking at the pics now I noticed the bleed nipple and brake lines swapped over. Is this ok?

bleed nippel should be at the top  if it's not it can make bleeding a pita,  but it dosent actualy affect the performance of the caliper provideing you managed to bleed it
