You may get away with it not blended with it been red.

Just had my rear bumper re-sprayed from RMB Auto in yarm under warranty, done a really good job apart from a slightly lighter shade of white.

Was told it's very difficult to re-spray plastics and get them a spot on match.

What was wrong with it for Warranty usage?
When I had my front bumper re-sprayed due to a prang, they blended-in the wings.
I'll have my new bumper on Friday next week.

Had a few tiny blue spots showing and also very little paint in the number plate recess corners so after 6 months of trying finally got it re-sprayed.

Mine has been 1/3 of a pregnancy for trying yours 2/3. VW are so TRYING. I don't think my next car will be a Vankwagen.

Glad it's sorted.

Cheers AMW1

It took so long because the week before it was due to be re-sprayed VW closed it's bodyshop in Northallerton so had to go thru all the hassle again. It took them nearly two months to find a new VW approved bodyshop and then i had to get it approved again (pictures, inspection etc etc).

Very Very frustrating to be honest.

Sunday: I know, I know. Such an unpleasant experience. They make one jump through hoops hoping the 'customer' (that word is a joke for Vankwagen) will get fed up and give up.

Just look at Snoopy's case. Really horrible. We've had it easy in comparison.

Never want to deal with this awful company ever again. Unfortunately, I might have to as I've just bought the car 6 months ago. I wish I had got a Mercedes C Class. A class act.

The saga continues!

Went to collect the car with the new rear bumper. Bumper is perfect, paint finish excellent but it needs to be blended-in as it is a couple of shades different from the quarter panels etc.

The bodyshop had advised VW that the blending-in process was essential (especially necessary with Red and Silver cars). But they are so penny-pinching that they would not sanction this.

I have therefore left the car at the bodyshop and instructed them to do my bidding. I will not collect the car until this has been acheived. The bodyshop will comply on Monday. I have also written to the Escalation Team at VW and have told them, in no uncertain terms, that this whole saga has been really extremely upsetting, time consuming and in the final analysis not commensurate with good customer care.

Nearly there!

And I don't think I will buy a VW again.

Disgraceful and penny pinching. I guess they were just hoping it would be unoticeable, or the customer would just accept it, which is not an acceptable solution.
