What a nightmare mate. Your gonna have to be in for the long haul on this one.
Maybe a strong letter from a solicitor may help?
'Escalation team' what ever next!

They are all quite disgusting. 'Vile' comes to mind! + very

That's terrible. I would be seething. Let's hope the escalation team can save the galaxy (what an absurd name )

Mate, just read this thread and feel for you. The treatment you've had is rubbish.

Maybe i've missed it but if VW telford sold the car and claim "all" GTIs come with it, have you gone up and had a look at all of their GTIs?

I'd do that and if they didn't agree, whack'em with a stick until they agreed.

I've just had a call from VW Telford! The VWCS Case Manager had not spoken to the Workshop Manager about this he has assured me. I have also written to the General Manager of the branch. They are now having a meeting about this as I write! Someone at the branch has fed VW with this nonsense info or VWCS are lying.
How many hoops does one have to jump through I wonder?
I WILL get justice, somehow.
Very, very annoyed.

I must admit it can be all consuming and really upsetting. Yours, in total sympathy, A.

I was thinking that all Mk6 GTi owners should check their rear bumpers and if they find a deformation in the numberplate area should put in a warranty claim.

I cannot believe people like those at VW exist. Vile.

Well that's what they are hoping. If I don't get satisfaction then it is Trading Standards and Watchdog. Finally, if this does not work, to a solicitor and a Small Claims Court.

Can I make a suggestion?

Cos I have been following this rather curious deal that you have - If all lower rear bumpers are distorted as you have been told, then if you ordered one from the spares department it too would be distorted............. see where I am going here?

The best bit is that when you see that the new one that rocks up is not distorted as I suspect will be the case..... Your dealership now has one in stock so that it can be swapped over with your wonky one with no lame excuses of "still waiting on the parts sir"

Good Luck   Dave
