You are being over pedantic regarding this.
It's good to look at the bigger picture sometimes.

There is nothing wrong with choosing any of the options...I obviously mistakenly assumed you'd choose an option based upon what it does, not just to spend more or have more buttons!

The comment stands: comparing DSG and ACC is stupid...they are completely incomparable - different solutions to polar opposite problems.

That's not being pedantic...it seems straight forward and simple from where I'm sitting.
