gearbox noise on my mk2 16v *help needed*

hello guys n gals,
                        i have recentley had to put a gearbox in my golf because the diff blew i also fitted a new clutch, the car now drives really good and is completely different to before but i have a noise when i press the clutch the only way i can descrive the noise is like a rough hissing noise but only when i dip the clutch,really want to sort the problem before it gets worse, so help is needed really bad cheers for looking

did you change the thrust bearing when you did the clutch
