350hp in a FWD hatchback? Er, no thanks. The 275hp stage one tune is already too much, IMO.

Steady on...400 BHP would be a walk in the park.
The throttle isn't a switch...it can be modulated...and if the map is tuned to be soft when coming on boost, traction isn't as much of an issue as people make out.
I've driven several 360+ BHP FWD cars with a far lesser chassis than the Golf Mk5/6 that manage just fine.

Froggy, the unit is a Pioneer active sub-woofer which costs approx £250, I think. It will be mostly invisibly mounted in the front passenger footwell. Will know more week after next.

The TS-WX22A or WX210A are unlikely to fit under the seat IMHO, but one of these is the one I am likely to be going for a in a couple of weeks myself, I want it vertically mounted in the boot.

Yes, I am sure the sub will clean things up. Mine is going into the front passanger footwell as it will sound pretty good and effective from there.

One word of caution of subs in the boot. There could be some horrible bass resonances which would be difficult to control even with the supplied remote tone control. A much cleaner bass will be obtaned if mounted inside the passanger cell.
One will have to reduce the bass output from the door speakers using the RNS bass cut to reduce the upper bass resonances. The sub will take these over.

The boot mounting helps reduce tacktile feel due to location.  I have only ever heard one car in the world (it was fully custom built interior and a world sound quality champion) were front mounted subwoofer/s worked correctly due to tactile feel.  Have to remember the cars cabin is not large enough for the wave to be produced fully so it becomes much harder to locate (unless the sub has lots of harmonics or you have the level far too high). Its why its much harder to locate bass in a cars cabin then a large room at home for example.
