Apart from the cloth covering them, they are the same seat in the GTI and the GTD.

I don't know if the (shape of the) leather seats differ from the cloth seats in the GTi but the cloth seats in my GTD are definitely a different shape to the leather seats in the GTi I sat in.

I thought he was comparing cloth with cloth.
Now it seems he is comparing leather with cloth. Could this make a difference?
Did he sit on Recaro Leather seats in the GTi?
Where does he hail from?

Sorry for confusion over leather/cloth.
GTi seats were Recaros.
Am in Gloucestershire UK.

Well that's a new one on me I didn't know you could get recaros in the GTI, I just thought they were an optional (expensive) extra on the R.

Old price list before the various price hikes: Recaros, part leather, 3 door £3080, 5 door £3325. Now  approximately £3200 and £3500 respectively! :sick: :shocked:
