I do keep thinking of adding a black transfer in that bit behind the number plate.

Thought of covering the whole space with a huge Number Plate with the EU Flag on the left and the GB flag on the right. I wonder if this would be legal. Look quite off-the-wall me thinks!

Well, the supplying garage refuses to pay for the new bumper and do not accept that they damaged it.
I also feel that this may open up a can of worms as the tailgate and rear quarter panels will also have to be blended in. Red is a pig of a colour for paint issues, unfortunately.
But I've insisted that something must be done to improve the mess.
Not one bit pleased.

  • Black is definitely the stealthiest colour!!

Stick to your guns, it is not good enough for them to try to wipe their hands of it.

I would say it is pretty obvious it was done at time of fitting the number plate, too heavy handed with the screwdriver.

Good luck

Really happy it has all worked out .

My drama continues. Found someone who can apply some gentle heat to the bumper to reduce the waviness without damaging the paint. Cost £50+VAT.
I undid both screws which were 3/4" long! Seems to have released a bit of the pressure and now it looks less distorted. :undecided:
Am now dealing with the supplying dealer in Telford.

Sounds like the screws are a bit of overkill (to long)? Get a picture on here if you can? Hope it's worked out ok!!
