advice needed pease

took my 8v to the garage last week had power stering pump replaced, but the car is running like crap so they had  look and said the maf was broke,
so i dissconnected it and drove it and all was well, so i brought a new maf and fitted it and its still them same, it ticks over like crap the whole car shakes like its about to stall,it stalls every time i reverse, and when pulling off or driving it feels like somthing is pulling the car back like the handbrakes on, its just had a new maf,coolant temp sensor,fuel pump relay fitted, any ideas whats causing this? i tryed my vagcom but its decided to stop working lol

Clean the throttle body, all the vac hoses and try running it with the carbon canister un-plugged, thats the cylindrical thingy bolted to the shocker housing just behind the air box, mine runs like sh!t with it plugged in, runs fine with it un-plugged

reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 15mins. This should do the trick.

hey guys i tryed reseting the ecu left the battery off for a good hour or so but she's still the same most of the time the engine hesitates to the point where the cars at a crawl even in 3rd or 4th even with ur foot to the floor?

ya got any air leaks in the vac pipes??
ya say it runs fine when ya unplug your new maf meter??
if so could be dodgy??

il double check for vac leaks the maf is brand new unless the wire is dodgy? could it be the lamba sensor?

Yeah, could be the lambda sensor.

Also worth replacing the ECU (no 30) and fuel pump relays (no 167). Cheap parts anyway.

ok guys iv replaced the ecu and fuel pump relays and still no change also cant find any air leaks? wat would u suggest next? could faulty coil pack cause this?

lol i won the pump off ebay for £7 and fitting was £20 bargin!
