But has anyone used Pirelli P Zero's? Jason Plato reckons they are the best tyres around

Had a set of 18" P Zero Rosso's on my Alfa. Stuck like glue in the wet and dry but lasted all of 8500 miles. And I'm not a hard driver!

Did you consider them to be low on road roar?

The Pirelli Cinturato P7s are supposed to be excellent all rounders. Low wear and noise and very good wet and dry grip.

Not really, one of the biggest issues I had with the Alfa was tyre noise from the 18"ers. As I knew the Alfa was going I replaced the fronts with Falken 452's and they were a lot quieter than the P Zeros. A lot of the Alfa guys complained about tyre noise and poor wear characteristics with the Pirellis

Seriously I have not had any road noise with my Bridgestones, mind you I am not running at 6000 miles on them yet.

I was beginning to think I was the only one happy with Bridgestones.

No, I'm also very happy with my Bridgestone's; of course like most of you, not had another make of tyre on the car for comparison.

I'll begin to love and care for my Bridgesones more than usual from now onwards. No more gripes.

... And this is where the problem is. If you havent tried another brand, you cant really compare :undecided:

Anyway, I'm stuck with my Bridgestones which will probably be hardly worn after 3 years and a max of 18,000 miles of my gentle driving.

 ....... i.e if I don't have a blow-out!
