it rubs with standard suspension?? sure its hitting the arches?

try and get ahold of an arch roller first, my mate made his so dont know how available they are.

it rubs on the rear when the car has 4 people in accelerating and going over speed bumps. I'll take it to the local bodywork shop I think as I want it done before I get coilovers...anyone in cornwall with an arch roller i could borrow please?!

If it is rubbing now what hope have you got when you lower it.

Is it rubbing on the arch lip or on the arch itself?

If its rubbing on the lip you will see where it has worn away part of the plastic arch trim and taken some paint off.

If its rubbing on the arch you will see scuff marks inside the arch / wing.

Depends on where its rubbing as to how drastic your modifications will be. Rolling and flattening the lip is fairly easy for a body shop or to do yourself but moving the arch out is a harder job and probably best left for the pro's.

Mole Grips, a Hammer and Heat gun mine turned out fine, just abit of cracked paint!

OK then you'll need to remove and trim the plastic arch trim.

Then you will need to roll the lip on the arches. You can do this by heating up the area gently with a paint stripper gun and then you can carefully roll the lip flat with a baseball bat or broom handle levered against the lip and the wheel. Go carefull do it a little bit at a time and keep the paint warm to stop it cracking.

Or you can buy a proper arch rolling tool for over £100, or take it to a bodyshop, or I seem to remember there is a firm in Exeter who hire out the tool, I can look out their details if its close enough for you to collect it.

Also worth looking on ebay I think there was a few firms hiring them out on there.

What i did for mine is to remove the arches and trims, block of metal on the outside and hammer on the inside (proper hammer-tapping kit thing) and that got rid of the lips.

What i did for mine is to remove the arches and trims, block of metal on the outside and hammer on the inside (proper hammer-tapping kit thing) and that got rid of the lips.

hammer and dolly body work set. i got a kit for less than £10 i think.
