I need new hubs...
« on: 27 July 2010, 00:37 »
Anyone know where to get a new hub?

I've called around loads of part guys today and they don't stock them...

1.9TDi wagon...

Or does anyone know if any other hubs will fit?

Sure its hubs you need and not bearings?

Try ECP or GSF

I'm not really sure...

All I know is that it eats wheel bearings like mad.

I've replaced the NSF wheel bearing 3 times this year - If I'd done it as soon as it needs doing I'd have needed a new one every couple of weeks.

I think my ball joint is out as well, but basically... Under acceleration the car lurches to the right and the NSF wheel has negative camber, which is wearing the tyres out like nobody's business.

Apparently the hub is worn, so that it's not holding the bearing in tight enough.

Not good then, if it has worn they are right and the bearing will not be tight.

righty oh.  I believe TDI has 4 stud yes? if so high spec MK2/3 or any Corrado/passat 4 stud will work, as will one from various SEAT models.  basically most VAGs with 4 stud and 256+ discs. Only exception is some polos have different bearing carriers which arnt suitable.
