asked around and was told to only use vag ones as the ones from ecp etc are not worth the risk if running a bigger engine, but tbh I trust you guys with these things more than my mates
Would some standard mounts from ecp be ok for the job then? I have one just round the corner

Should be fine however given the choice I would use genuine

new standard rear mount and standard rear box mount.

solid front mount ftw, engine doesnt move and it improves traction much more than you would expect!

2.0 16v mounts off the mk3 engines (abf) bolt straight to the 1.8t and sit the engine in the bay without any fouling.
