1.8t conversion - exhaust system question
«

Just got a jetex cat back, and I know i'll be needing the 1.8t downpipe (will probably get a sports one)
question is, will the 1.8t cat fit unmodded onto an 8v GTi?

I think you need to run a 16v system.
LL will tell you 100%

I thought the only difference was the bore size? The jetex I have is suitable for both 8v and 16v so I guess you need some kind of reducer pipe for the 8v as I havn't fitted it yet
What would happen if I ran the 1.8t cat while still using the AGG 8v engine? Would it work? Just trying to get as much done as I can before the engine work begins

Cat will not fit, 99% it is a different layout.
