Idle screw o-ring part number?
« on: 06 January 2005, 14:52 »
Happy new year to you all!

I am after an idel screw o-ring, but the dealers can't seem to find it on their system (nothing new there then)

Could some who has got the ETKA software look it up for me please.

Thanks again

you cant get the o-ring from VAG. u cant even buy the screw complete with o-ring. u have to buy a new throttle body!!

go to halfrauds and pick up a set of multi-size o-rings and you'll find one that fits in it.

hmm reminds me of the new distributer o-ring i needed, but because its a 1/2 size you cant get them off the shelf and have to buy a new distributer

Just to double check (my mind has gone blank after xmas) on the idle screw, does the screw allow air from outside the screw to the inside or should no air get in from the outside?

Cheers

yes. give the o-rings a little swab of grease also for a tighter seal
