will a mk3 8v master cylinder fit a mk2 1.3

as above doin a wide track conversion will it fit or will the original be ok

Check the mounting holes... it may fit, but rotated at an angle of about 30 degrees, meaning that the reservoir will be on the piss - not ideal for an MOT!

should fit straight on, they use same 22mm MC as late MK2 16v & G60

yeah it'll be fine on 288s, same as whats fitted to the MK3 with 288sas standard ;)

its the servo you need to change, want a 9" servo from mk2 1.8, or corrado/passat. unfortunatly mk3 one is no use as totally wrong fitment. needs to be from passat pre-97, b3 or b4 shape. abs servo will work too, it'll just have an extra switch in the side of it which you leave in place but unplugged

ar just relised i missed part of the question lol should of put will it fit on a 1.3 servo  :embarassed:

o well thats goin to hold me up till i find one as its much easier to fit without engine in  :cry: :cry:

yeah it'll fit, but as i say you'll want to bin that servo and get a 9" one :)

you can fit one with engien fitted, i have done it on an 8v and that was with the inlet manifold on the car as well! theres literally a MK2 servo shaped gap  :grin:
be fine with a 16v engine fitted without the inlet, should be tons o room. i didn't even disconnect the master cylinder to do it, i just carefully pushed it out of the way.
