Eibach springs. Good price ?
« on: 05 January 2005, 17:52 »
I've been thinking about lowering my cab for a while now but for the time being I'm just going do the springs first and then maybe in the future I'll get some new shocks, looked on t'internet today and found these prices for Eibach pro-kit springs
Awesome GTi = ?135.13 (but don't know delivery charge yet)
www.motorsportworld.co.uk = ?138.57 + ?9 delivery = ?147.57

Are they about the right prices for Eibach springs ?  :undecided:

Another quick question, will I be ok by just changing the springs and not the shocks ?  :undecided:

i wouldnt bother buying them from awesome gti, they properly messed me about when i was buying them from them, like promising delivery dates that never happened, then when you phone up its another person who hasnt got a clue and blames it on the other person, bunch of cowboys there in the ordering department :angry:

On the few bits that I've got from them I wasn't that impressed either, I also think they charge top dollars too  :sad:. The motorsportworld address I put in my first post seem like a good little company, I reckon when I get some I'll go with them. By the way, veedub, did you change your shocks as well as springs ?? :undecided:

i got mine from Carnosseur in Edinburgh. i knew the fella who owned it (via another forum) and he done me a deal

i replaced the front shocks as they where knackered but left the rears as they where only about 3mths old

u dont need shortened shocks as they only drop 25-30mm

have you thought about getting the Bilstein Streetline kit from EuroCarParts? drops 40mm and is a full kit (shocks & springs) for a v.reasonable price (?175+vat) stuart will even give you 10% off

Not a bad price at all but do you know anything about the Bilstein kits ? Any good ? I'm in Leeds anyway so I can pop in and see Stuart so I don't even need to get them delivered. Shocks and springs ! It's a minefield ! :smiley:

arb's = anti roll bars

Bilsteins are on par with Koni's when it comes to shocks. dunno what the springs will be but you can ask Stuart, but im sure they'll be half decent

im running Bilsteins at the moment and cant fault them
