got the shocks 2nd hand fairly cheap, springs were brand new from awesome, and arb is anti roll bars. i think the shocks and springs usually go for around ?450ish new, but they are the best thing before coilovers ?

Thanks for the replies, I think I might have a look at Gambit's idea of the bilsteins from ECP as the eibach/eibach/koni setup is going to be quite costly and at the end of the day they are going on a hairdresser car  so it's more about the look with some comfort rather than for out and out performance.

by the sounds of what you want id get some new original shocks and a set of lowering springs. i think you can go 40mm max on the original shocks :undecided: how old are your struts on the car now?

Dunno, but I've had the car nearly two years and I haven't changed them so could be years old. The shocks from ECP are bilstien it's just the Ventura springs that I haven't heard anything about.  :undecided: Like I said earlier, it's a fekkin minefield this to me !

just get some eibach springs then if your shocks look ok, looking at your pic id say a 25mm drop would be perfect  you can always buy some good shocks at a later date if you want

It's in for it's MOT on Monday so I'll ask the lad at the garage to give the shocks a once over to see what he thinks, I wont be doing the work so I guess that my thinking was that I could get the springs and shocks done in one go and save myself some labour charges in the long run. Was thinking of going down 40mm though  :undecided:
