how to fit a gear gaitor

as above. How do you remove the plastic bit that holds it on
is the gear knob screw fit. Any tips and hints

Yes the gearknob is screw fit. Once removed either slide the gaitor over the shaft or break the plastic collar. You can secure the new gaitor with a small zip tie at the top.

To do the job correctly, turn gaiter fully inside out, place over gear lever upside down, fasten cable tie around lever shaft, then pull gaiter down to secure the base, this way the cable tie is fully hidden, and looks OE, as opposed to gash
