Fiscon Bluetooth and Android phones

Folks,

Anyone got thew Fiscon Basic Plus Bluetooth kit and an Android phone?

Mine worked well with my Blackberry - calls were spot on and it copied the Phonebook.

Now I have a Google Nexus One (Android), and although it makes calls OK, but doesn't seem to import the Phonebook.

Anybody else got any issues?

I'm sure this happened with the new iPhone 4 too. Fiscon really have to get an update out to their kits.

I have the fiscon basic plus, and as of saturday have the new Iphone 4, no problems whatsoever so far, copies phone book, touch screen dialling, no probs

At the risk of sounding like a boring f***, I have to say I don't agree with use of a mobile phone whilst driving, hands free or otherwise [even though hands free is legal] I've seen loads of drivers obviously speaking on a hands free phone and it's clear that full concentration on driving is just not there.
It's the loss of concentration that's the main problem, not the loss of use of one hand. All you Fiscon users could save yourselves a load of money and hassle with pairing and other problems by staying concentrated on driving, not using a mobile. I've never really understood why anything can be so urgent that you have to talk whilst driving anyway. Why not just stop to make or receive calls?

Talking to a passenger does not require the same level of concentration and you can allow your concentration on the conversation to lapse if required. It also doesn't require the use of any equipment, sorry, but if you think otherwise you are more than boring, you are a danger to other road users. One other important point, your passenger will presumably be looking out of the windscreen and be aware of road conditions, most passengers tend to reduce the level of conversation if they perceive that the driver requires full concentration

Thanks for the insite - but the original question was about pairing phones... not whether driving with a handsfree is a good idea or not!  I guess you must drive with 2 hands on the wheel at all time, ignoring your passenger, with the radio off for full concentration?

Glen... I was in 2 minds about buying an HTC Desire over the last few days as I sold both my iPhone 4's due to the signal being dreadful.  Can you not get an Over The Air update to Android 2.2 just now for the Nexus One?
I'd be curious whether you get 2.1 to work properly, as thats what comes on the desire just now.  I currently have an HD2 which seems to work pretty well with the Fiscon, but I'm getting bored of it... and bored of Win Mobile!
