Glen... I was in 2 minds about buying an HTC Desire over the last few days as I sold both my iPhone 4's due to the signal being dreadful. Can you not get an Over The Air update to Android 2.2 just now for the Nexus One?
I'd be curious whether you get 2.1 to work properly, as thats what comes on the desire just now. I currently have an HD2 which seems to work pretty well with the Fiscon, but I'm getting bored of it... and bored of Win Mobile!
Pete,
All sorted now...the phone received a pairing request, which I accepted...then a few minutes after first vonnection, it receives a phone book download request, which I missed.
I spotted it the next time, accepted, ticked for autodownload in future and it's all working as it should.
Yes you can download Froyo (And 2.2) onto the Nexus One already, but not with Vodafone specific settings...it'll be along soon...sao instead of trying to sort it all out, I'll wait.
I'm impressed with the Nexus One though...although email isn't as good as my old Blackberry Storm - push email is really poor (read non-existant it seems) for Android phones/Hotmail.
