I don't think you can get them in black without the rim. You can get them in silver with no rim though.

shame. with the alloy being nice and glossy, to keep that looking smart, ensure the tyre is dressed at all times. well, thats my opinion anyway.

The wheels are actually a matt black finish. Has the great VWKev made a mistake?!?!

I shouldnt have used glossy. new would have been a better word to use as I didnt mean the finish.

Point being, try not let the tyre get dirthy and dry, as all you'll notice is a dirty wheel between the white and the alloy, it will stand out. Sorry but I cant help but leave detailing tips, bad habit of mine.

Sorry for the delay. I didn't get decent pics either when I was replacing the lip.

I got a couple of pics. The first shows what I did to the wheel, the second shows the channel that the lip goes onto.

The actual process was easy. I pulled the damaged lip off and the only part that took any time was removing the previous glue.
The new lip sits in a channel and it is impossible to put it on wrong.

I had thought that I could have taken the lips off all of the wheels some day and painted them but they are scrap after they are removed as they go out of shape.

Has anyone changed the outer lip on these? I wasn't concentrating last night and managed to touch a kerb - I was furious!!! I was wondering do they just glue on?

Where is the cheapest place to get them? PW Motorsport have them on eBay for £60

You got your head turned by a chick in a short skirt, didnt you.

Don't have anything to do with that house. It's bad luck. Mark my words! :lipsrsealed:
